Let's make a yummy tea called Masala Chai. It's like a hug in a cup! We use special tea and mix fun spices like cardamom, cinnamon, and ginger to make it taste amazing. Our steps are super simple to make this tasty tea fast. You can even change it to make it just how you like it! It's perfect for feeling cozy in the morning or relaxing in the afternoon. Masala Chai is more than just tea; it's a tranquil time for you.
First, prepare the masala spice mixture. To do this, peel the ginger root and grate it on a coarse grater to about 1–2 cm.
Break the cardamom, clean the grains and, together with other ingredients (except ginger), grind it to powder in a coffee grinder or mortar.
Mix milk with water and bring to a boil. Add spices, cook for 2-3 minutes over low heat. Add honey or sugar to taste. I usually add a teaspoon of honey.
Add tea (granulated or loose leaf) and cook over low heat for another 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat and let steep for 5 minutes. Pour into cups through a strainer and enjoy the wonderful taste of masala tea.
